IEU members at Qibla Islamic College at Leumeah realised the benefits of quick access to the NSW Industrial Commission when recently presented with a letter threatening their pay. Within 48 hours of the dispute notification, the IEU had a compulsory conference in the NSW IRC, with the result that staff received their salaries, writes IEU Organiser Pam Smith.
